10 Thousand Students Join Madrassa School Safety Disaster Fair

In the future, students in school will be fully assisted

Around 10 thousand students from 700 schools in Jakarta join Madrassa School Safety Disaster Fair (SMAB). This activity was held on Jl. Imam Bonjol, Menteng, Central Jakarta.

Disaster Alert System Is Activated in Kelapa Gading

Madrassa School Fair Safe Disaster Act is referred to Governor Regulation (Pergub) No. 187 /2016 about implementing Madrassa or School Safe from Disaster with "Building Jakarta with Public Private People Partnership" theme.

Acting Jakarta Governor Sumarsono said that disaster problem not only becomes government's duty but also the public. That is why need common awareness since early age.

"I hope this kind of activity will be held routinely for every year to build awareness and safety from disaster education. So, when disaster happens, everybody is ready and know what to do," said Sumarsono, Sunday (1/22).

He also confirmed that the activity not using city budget (APBD), but fund from donaturs.

He added that disaster preparedness needs training, including for schools.

"In the future, students in school will be fully assisted," he closed.
