Jakarta Environment Dept. Received Air Quality Recommendation

Jakarta Environment Dept. received a recommendation to improve the air quality in the capital for a better. It was accepted by the cooperation result of Jakarta Provincial Government with United States For Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and Ministry of Environment and Forestry.

"City must immediately take steps such as by applying eco-friendly vehicles using Gas Fuel (BBG) on Transjakarta bus and other operational vehicles," said Ahmad Safrudin, Executive Director of Committee for the Phasing Out of Leaded Fuel (KPBB), at City Hall, Tuesday (1/24).

Meanwhile, Jakarta Environment Dept. Vice Head, Ali Maulana promised to massively reduce emission by applying use of gas fuel. Not only for bajaj, it is also for dept. operational vehicles.

"It will be made in the system to force the vehicle owner to undergo emission test. So if you want to enter and have no emission test, you will be evicted," he stressed.
