JPO di Jl KS Tubun Butuh Perbaikan

Crossing Bridge on Jalan KS Tubun Needs Improvement

The condition of a crossing bridge (JPO) on Jalan KS Tubun, Petamburan, Tanah Abang, precisely in front of PT PLN Pusat office is worrying.

The canopy could collapse and cause casualty if it is not repaired

Based on beritajakarta.com observations, the bridge's canopy or roof is damaged and prone to collapse. Surely, it makes the passerby uncomfortable when they cross the bridge, moreover it is already rainy season and hot also.

Love Bridge Must Be Aware of Tourist Safety

Not only that, a plate for the footrest is porous and rusty. Some are perforated. Even many stairs' plates are no longer connected with the bridge railing.

"The bridge was painted sometime ago, but its physical condition is very dangerous. The canopy could collapse and cause casualty if it is not repaired," said Tati (36), a local citizen who is dropping off her children to school, Wednesday (1/25).

Responding on this matter, Section Head of Maintenance for Jakarta Bina Marga Dept., Sukowibowo disclosed, the damaged and unmaintained bridges in Jakarta will be repaired. Yet, it is still being inventoried.

"We'll repair the bridge soon, we're still doing survey and inventory in the field now. Considering this is the authority of Transportation Dept.," he closed.
