Billboards at Four JPOs in South Jakarta Controlled

A number of billboards that spread in four pedestrian bridges (JPO) were controlled by 150 personnel of Satpol PP, South Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept, Spatial Planning Sub-dept, Transportation Sub-dept and PPSU.

The operation is done because the billboard has violated the procedures of installation

This time, the operation was focused on SMK 57 JPO (Jalan Margasatwa), Pejaten JPO (Jalan Warung Jati Barat), Buncit JPO (Jalan Warung Buncit) and Duren Tiga JPO (Jalan Mampang Prapatan Raya).

Section Head of South Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept, Sartono said the operation was conducted at night to avoid long traffic jam. Considering The location is dense of the passing vehicle.

No Permit, Billboard of Matraman JPO Torn Down

According to him, billboards that controlled mostly has a size of 3x15 meters. 

"The operation is done because the billboard has violated the procedures os installation. After being torn down, we use a rotary saw and cutter spreader to cutting its iron and then transported by truck," he explained.

To speed up it, controllong was done jointly. Further, the next will be conducted gradually and has been slated from Wednesday and Friday. 

"The bridge function will be restored to give convenience for the user. On the upcoming Wednesday, our target is billboards at Karet Kuningan and Kuningan Madya bridges on Jl HR Rasuna Said," he stated.

Such operation was finished at 9.30 PM-2.30 AM.
