Chili Price Remains High

Chili supply is unstable. Its supply is only between 50-60 tons per day

Chili supply in Jakarta is still unstable or approximately between 50-60 tons per day.

Jakarta Economic Bureau Head, Sri Haryati disclosed, chili needs in the city is normally reaching 120 tons per day. Due to unstable chili supply, there has been no price reduction.

Green Chili Has Touched Rp 80,000 Per Kg

"Chili supply is unstable. Its supply is only between 50-60 tons per day," she stated, Friday (1/27).

As quoted by infopangan.jakarta.go.id, red chili pepper price is the highest one, which is still at Rp 123,000 per kg.

The highest price is at Rawa Badak Market by Rp 140,000 per kg and the lowest one is at Mampang Prapatan Market by Rp 99,000 per kg.

While the highest price for red curly chili pepper is reaching Rp 70,000 per kg. Then big red chili pepper is Rp 65,000 per kg and green chili pepper Rp 110,000 per kg.

"Chili price is also high, because of unstable supply," he closed.
