KUKMP Dept. to Manage Terminal PKL

Starting this year, the street vendor (PKL) management in all terminals of Jakarta will be handed over to Jakarta Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperatives (KUKMP) Dept. It is done thus Transportation Dept. can more focus on managing 24 terminals.

This year, PKL management in all terminals is taken over by KUKMP Dept.

Jakarta Transportation Dept. Head, Andri Yansyah disclosed, PKL management on terminal by KUKMP Dept. will be conducted gradually. As the initial stage, there will be PKL in five terminals managed, such as Senen, Kalideres, Kampung Rambutan, Grogol and Rawamangun.

"This year, PKL management in all terminals is taken over by KUKMP Dept. Yet it is done gradually and we will take five terminals first," he stated, Saturday (1/28).

While, Jakarta KUKMP Dept. Head, Irwandi disclosed, from five terminals, there have been only three terminals handled, namely Kampung Rambutan, Kalideres and Senen. Even at Senen Terminal, its management has been taken over. As for the Kampung Rambutan and Kalideres terminals, are still under process.

"A memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Transportation Dept. was signed and we will repair the PKL location by involving private side through CSR. By so, PKL retribution will become one roof," he explained.

The number of PKL in Kampung Rambutan Terminal are 84 people and 42 people in Kalideres Terminal in which will be managed KUKMP Dept.
