20 Public Markets will Be Built in May

PD Pasar Jaya starts to build 20 public markets in May. It is followed by incoming government capital funds (PMP) for about Rp 170 million.

Manager assistant of PD Jaya Public Relation Department, Gatra Vaganza, said that to build the market will cost about Rp 295 million. The lack of funds will be proposed to City Budget Revision (APBD-P) 2017 or next APBD in 2018.

"We will build 20 public markets in category C, it means revitalization of small traditional market," he said, Sunday (1/29).

Gatra explained that to start the construction, they will build temporary place (TPS) first to accomodate the traders.

"At least traders already been relocated to TPS so the construction progress will be on schedule," he added.

For about 20 public markets will be buit. Some of them are Pasar Cideng Thomas, Pasar Gandaria, and Pasar Paseban in Central Jakarta. Then Pasar Sungai Bambu and Pasar Cilincing in North Jakarta.
