Temporary Shelter for Senen Market Sellers Must Be Accelerated

Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) wants PT Pembangunan Jaya to accelerate construction of a temporary shelter for sellers of the Block I and II, Senen Market.

PT Pembangunan is hoped to cooperate with PD Pasar Jaya in acceleration of temporary shelter for Senen Market sellers

Temporary shelter will be set up at two locations, such as 1st and 2nd floor of Block V and a land used by dawn cake seller.

"PT Pembangunan is hoped to cooperate with PD Pasar Jaya in acceleration of temporary shelter for Senen Market sellers," expressed Tubagus Arief, Chairman of Jakarta DPRD Commission B, during a joint meeting along with related agency to discuss Senen Market handling, Wednesday (1/25).

Post-fire incident, he uttered, many sellers had to open stall on the roadside and cause traffic jam. It is really disturbing residents.

"If the temporary shelter is ready, they will be relocated soon," he stated.

He added PD Pasar Jaya and PT Pembangunan Jaya should also cooperate with the PLN to accelerate the installation of the electrical connection at the shelter that is currently under construction.

"We also hope Satpol PP continues to do controlling orderly and coordinate with other units in arranging the seller," he finished.
