123 Traditional Markets will Be Renovated

123 out of 153 traditional markets spread in five cities will be transformed into modern and will be integrated with apartment, hotel and office.

Bylaw revision gives us an authority to be more flexible to manage hundreds of market areas in the future

PD Pasar Jaya Public Relation Dept. Manager Assistant, Gatra Vaganza said it would be realized after bylaw revision about PD Jaya's business development is complete.

"With this bylaw revision, we won't only manage traditional market, but also its development. Later, the market will be integrated with apartment, hotel, and so on," he said, Monday (1/30).

He admitted that traditional market is mostly located in a strategic location that is until now not fully utilized so it does not have more value.

"Bylaw revision gives us an authority to be more flexible to manage hundreds of market areas in the future," he expressed.

He explained already set for about 30 lands of traditional market that will be public market. Then the rest of 123 market areas will be made more modern, thus can add region's contribution income.

"For example, a land of Fatmawati's Block A belongs to PD Pasar Jaya passed by Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), can be developed to be a market that integrated with the flat," he finished.
