Development Planning Discussion (Musrenbang) of Cipinang Melayu Urban Village, Makasar Sub-district, agreed that flood handling in residential areas of RW 03 and RW 04 become a priority. The solution is to continue Sunter River normalization again.

Cipinang Melayu Urban Village Head, Angga Sastra, said the proposal of RW Conference reached 210 proposals with budget around Rp 70 billion. One of those proposals was rejected because the template is not suitable.

"They asking for sorting trash can but they fill in composter template. It is not suitable," he said, Monday (2/6).

He explained that besides Sunter River normalization, Musrenbang also prioritizes Sulaeman connector channel (PHB) because the normalization could overcome RW 02 flood problem. 

East Jakarta Economy and Development Assistant, Sofyan Tahir, said that Sunter River normalization construction proposal becomes the priority since residential area of RW 02, 03, and 04 always been flooded. Flood can reach to one meter. 

"For all this time, it is always been a flooded area. So it must be the priority," he stated.
