Cilincing River Normalized

North Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. is normalizing the Cilincing River up to one kilometer in order to minimize inundation and flooding in Cilincing Sub-district.
Normalization itself has been ongoing since January 25 and is targeted will be complete by the end of this month
Cilincing Water Resources Execution Unit Head, Sarkam disclosed, normalization is done by dredging mud and garbage using an excavator.
"Cilincing River has seven meters wide. Because of shallowing, the river cannot accommodate water in large quantities," he said, Thursday (2/2).
Citizen Request Sewers Normalization on Jl. Gadang RayaSarkam went on the say that three urban villages in his region are prone to inundation due to mud in Cilincing River. They are Cilincing, Kalibaru and Semper Timur.
"Normalization itself has been ongoing since January 25 and is targeted will be complete by the end of this month. By so, these urban villages are hoped can be free from inundation," he finished.
