North Jakarta Water Resources Dept. repaired Nias Connector Channel (PHB)'s retaining wall on Jl. Nias, West Kelapa Gading Urban Village, Kelapa Gading Sub-District which ruined before.
It also makes soil on the roadside got into the water channel. If it is not repaired immediately, soil could hamper the water flow
Kelapa Gading Sub-district Water Resources Work Unit Head, Rukmana, said that the retaining wall is repaired for about 50 meters long with height more than 1 meter. Because it is quite old and eroded by water, the retaining wall is ruined.
"It also makes soil on the roadside got into the water channel. If it is not repaired immediately, soil could hamper the water flow," she said, Tuesday (2/6).
Citizens Request to Build Water ChannelAccording to her, the construction is done about 95 percent. If things going smoothly, it can finish in next two days.
"It is already raining season. With improving the ruined channel's retaining wall, it can keep the area from flood," she closed.
