Rubber Boats Alerted to Evacuate Flood Victims in Cipinang Melayu

Water level reaches 1-1.20 meters. We're ready to send boat for the victim

Seven rubber boats are alerted for the needs of evacuation for flood victims living in RW 03 and 04 Cipinang Melayu Urban Village, Makasar Sub-district, East Jakarta.

From those boats, each of them is from urban village, sub-district, Satpol PP, Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept., Water Resources Dept. and two units of National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB).

Aid for Cipinang Melayu Flood Victims Distributed

Makasar Sub-district Head, Efiskal disclosed bronjong (rocks wrapped in plaited wires) installed by Water Resources Dept. was collapsed due to heavy flow of water on Sunday (2/19) afternoon. As result, water returns to inundate citizen settlement.

"Water level reaches 1-1.20 meters. We're ready to send boat for the victim," he stated, Monday (2/20).

Based on the data this morning, the number of flood victims who still survived in the refugee camp, University of Borobudur is reaching 337 people. 33 out of them are toddlers, 23 elderly people, 3 pregnant women and 43 children. 

"Related agencies have sent logistic aid to them," he finished.
