62 East Jakarta People Rescued from Flood

13 rubber boats of East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept. were sent to rescue flood victims in six urban villages. As result, tens of victims were successfully evacuated.

East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Section Head, Gatot Sulaeman expressed rubber boats were spread to Cipinang Melayu Urban Village, Cakung Barat, Jatinegara, Jatinegara Kaum, Kayu Putih, Pulogadung. Until this noon, there have been 62 people rescued.

"We mostly rescue victims in Cipinang Melayu with 45 people. Until this noon, our officer is still on standby," he said, Tuesday (2/21). 

Personnel Rescued Flood Victims in Pejatan Barat

Cipinang Melayu Urban Village Head, Angga Sastra Amijaya stated, in morning, water level in the residential area, RW 03 and 04 wast at 2.5 meters. Aside that, his side also gets rubber boat assistance from National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), police, Satpol PP and some non-governmental organizations.

"There are totally 20 boats sent. And one boat is also sent from urban village and sub-district," he closed.
