Council Supports Salary Rise for Honorary Teacher in Sebira Island

City Council Commission E ready to discuss additional salary for honorary teachers who are assigned in Sebira Island, Seribu Islands.

"We are ready to discuss if Education Dept. proposes a budget for additional wages to honorary teachers in Sebira Island," said Ramli H.I. Muhammad, Deputy Head of City Council, Tuesday (2/21).

He thought the current wages of Sebira Island honorary teachers which is Rp 3.3 million or equal to City UMP, is not suitable to their workload.

"There are rules from Ministry of Internal Affairs that must be obeyed so there will be no mistakes or any findings of budget usage. Budget user must aware," he said.

Thus, council together with executives will discuss about the proposed salary rise for honorary teachers according to applicable rules mechanism.

"At first, that proposal is discussed and approved in commission level and next will be brought to Budgeting Institution to be allocated in APBD. Hopefully, Ministry of Internal Affairs will also approve the proposal," he closed.
