Jakarta Smart City Develops Flood Monitoring Application

Jakarta Provincial Government already has flood monitoring application that can be downloaded through google playstore in Android-based smartphone.

Flood monitoring application also contains of water pump quantities information which can be operating or not

This application contains information related to flood and inundation, and also actions which in progress or already done by related institutions.

"Flood monitoring application contains of citizen reports through Qlue application, water level condition in observation post and water gates in real time, and water pump which im operation," said Jakarta Smart City (JSC) Management Unit TU Sub-dept. Head, Wise Citra Dewi, Tuesday (2/22).

She explained that up to 3 PM there were 676 complaints from citizen who reported about flood condition.

"From verification result, 611 of 676 complaints were valid and another 65 was not," she added.

She continued JSC have a duty to follow up citizen complaints related to flood through Qlue to the local urban village head. Later on, urban village head who received the report must deliver flood handling information that can be monitored by citizen through smartcity.jakarta.go.id website.

"The red sign means yet handled, yellow means in handling progress, and green means already handled," she continued.

Through flood monitoring application, citizen could know water level in five monitoring posts and City water gates. The data is updated every hour by City Water Resources Department.

"Flood monitoring application also contains of water pump quantities information which can be operated or not," she closed.
