Old Stationer Pumps in Jakarta will Be Rejuvenated

148 out of 409 stationer pumps more than eight years put up in 140 pump houses in Jakarta will be rejuvenated and its capacity will be increased.

We'll rejuvenate them (pumps) in 2018. But it must go through auction and e-catalog

According to Teguh Hendrawan, Head of Jakarta Water Resources Dept. said, despite pump is in operational condition, the performance began to drop. It will be rejuvenated in order to accelerate handling of flood and inundation.

56 Stationer Pumps in C. Jakarta Ready to Operate

Currently his dept. is conducting data collection to be proposed in 2018.

"We'll rejuvenate them (pumps) in 2018. But it must go through auction and e-catalog," he expressed, Thursday (2/23).

He stated the type of goods is import and its shipment will take five months. Moreover this year's procurement is through additional budget, thus shipment duration will not be on target.

Some old pumps in question are Tomang Dam built since 1971 and Grogol Dam since 1977.

Jakarta needs pumps with good performance, because they must be ready for 24 hours.

"Nevertheless, the old machines have slow performance. Considering according to elimination provision of goods asset, the goods more than eight years must be deleted or replaced," he stated.
