Connecting Channel on Jalan Kramat Jaya Normalized

Tens of freelancers under North Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. begin normalizing a connecting channel located alongside Jalan Kramat Jaya, Semper Barat Urban Village, Cilincing, North Jakarta.
Hopefully the channel can accommodate more water and minimize puddles in future
Sarkam, Head of Cilincing Sub-district Water Resources Unit said, because of mud and garbage, his side immediately normalizes the channel as long as one kilometer and 1.5 meters wide.
The mud and garbage, he stated, has hampered water flow in the channel and cause puddles on the road as high as 10-15 centimeters.
Utan Kayu River will Be Normalized
"We do this to minimize puddles, considering its condition is full of mud," he expressed, Thursday (3/2).
To clean up them, freelancer officers are sent to dismantle the manhole cover first. He predicts, normalization would take about a month ahead.
"Hopefully the channel can accommodate more water and minimize puddles in future," he said.
