Pile of Cable Jacket in Water Channel Found Again

Pile of cable jacket was found again on Jl. Gatot Subroto's water channel, Kuningan Barat Sub-district, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta. This channel has 80-120 centimeters wide and 2 meters depth.

Blockage combing on the channel was done by 25 Public Facilities and Infrastructures Handling (PPSU) personnel with help from local Water Resources Sub-dept.'s Daily Freelancer (PHL).

Based on beritajakarta.com's observation, the combing was spread in three points on Jl. Gatot Subroto. Those three points are in front of YTKI Building, Mulia Building 1, and intersection of Mulia Building 1 and 2.

Mampang Prapatan Sub-district Head, Asril Rizal, said the combing is done due to strong suspicion that there are still many variation of trashes inside water channel which triggered inundation in that area.

"As the result, we found cable jacket that fill up to half of the pickup, debris, lumber, and another trash," he said, Monday (3/6).

According to plan, his side will keep combing the water channel until tomorrow up to Krukut River border.

"We targeted the water channel must be cleaned from any blockage," he closed.
