Broken Levee on Item River will Be Improved Shortly

East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. will improve the broken levee on Item River at RT 13/05, Cililitan Urban Village, Kramat Jati Sub-district.
The team has already surveyed and it will directly be followed up
The levee was broken with length for about 3 meters and width around 50 centimeters. Moreover, the south side of levee is already cracked.
East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. Head, Ahmad Yazied Bustomi, affirmed that levee will be improved shortly.

Based on information gathered on the field, levee was broken since a week ago when heavy rain fall and Baru River's water overflowed. There is a crossing that connects Baru River and Item River above levee's east side. Through this crossing, the streams ran swift and surged Item River levee which under the crossing.
Ateng (27), local resident, said it was cracked at first but shortly afterwards it is broken.
"Some residents yards were damaged because of swift water," he closed.
