North Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. dredged mud in connecting (PHB) channel of Kramat Jaya, Tugu Utara Urban Village, Koja, North Jakarta. One unit of excavator deployed to accelerate dredging process.
Dredging is done by using 1 excavator and four dump trucks due to its sedimentation level
Koja Sub-district Water Resources Sub-dept. Working Unit Head, Abdul Azis, said that channel have 2 meters wide and dredging is done about 1.5 kilometers long with 1.3 meters depth.
"Dredging is done by using 1 excavator and four dump trucks due to its sedimentation level," he said, Monday (3/13).
Residents Request to Normalize Taruna PHB ChannelAccording to him, the dredging is done due to citizen's request. Thus in this rainy season, channel can accommodate water optimally.
"We targeted to be finish in next 3 weeks ahead. with dredging the mud hopefully can minimize inundation in that area," he closed.
