Sunter ITF Construction will Be Realized This Year

Intermediate Treatment Facility (ITP) construction in Sunter, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, will be realized this year.

Insya Allah (God willing) ITF construction with 2,000 tons of trash per day can be realized this year

Jakarta Environment Dept. Deputy Head, Ali Maulana Hakim said ITF construction plan has been socialized to citizen surrounding the area.

"Insya Allah (God willing) ITF construction with 2,000 tons of trash per day can be realized this year," he said at Nyi Ageng Serang Building, South Jakarta, Tuesday (3/14).

Incinerator Technology Imposed on ITF Sunter

According to him trash in Jakarta reached 7,000 cubic meters per day. All efforts continuous to be done thus trash that will be dumped to the landfill can be reduced.

"We also urging for trash banks existence thus trash can be sorted early," he expressed.

While BPPT Environment Technology Center Director, Rudy Nugroho, affirmed that in all developed countries, certainly have ITF facilities and incineration technology.

"Just with modern technology of trash management that will effective. Through ITF, 90 percent of trash can be destroyed," he closed.
