ITF Sunter Construction must Be Realized Soon

Jakarta City Council B Commission asks PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) to realize the Sunter Intermediate Treatment Facilities (ITF), North Jakarta. It is because the waste volume in the capital has reached 6,000-7,000 tons per day.

Our waste volume is already worrying

“Our waste volume is already worrying. We have sent letter to acting governor and regional secretary to appoint PT Jakpro as the contractor,” said Sarifudin, commission member, Wednesday (12/7).

He added that capital waste management still relies on Bekasi Administration. As the impact, Jakarta Provincial Government must spend Rp 315 billion as compensation.

Investment Value For Sunter ITF Reaches Rp 2.9 T

“Compensation budget will go up yearly. ITF must be constructed in Marunda and Sunter soon for budget efficiency,” he added.

In order to run the project, he added, PT Jakpro must be selective finding partner, especially the performance, budget, and technology.

Meanwhile, PT Jakpro Director, Satya Heragandhi, explained the Sunter ITF will be run in the next six months.

“Sunter ITF will process 2,000 up to 2,500 tons of waste per day,” he explained.

He continued that his side will involve BPPT as for the technology supervisor.
