300 Jakarta Garbage Trucks Emission Tested

Jakarta Environment Dept. tested the emissions of garbage trucks. In the first stage, emission test was performed on 300 trucks from 1,210 trucks in total that owned by Jakarta Environment Dept.

If there is any truck which below the standard, will be repaired

Jakarta Environment Dept. Head, Isnawa Adji said emissions test was held to know truck exhaust gas condition. Thus pollution caused by emission below the standard can be known.

"Since 2015 we already hold maintenance the truck through Single Agent Brand (ATPM) periodically. If there is any truck which below the standard, will be repaired," he said, Wednesday (3/15).

He hoped with emission condition that above the standard can minimize the pollution. Because everyday there are 1,000 new cars that operated in Jakarta.

"After this we will urge another Regional Working Unit (SKPD) to do the similar stuff. We will also urge the company to examine their operational vehicle," he closed.
