No fatalities and casualties when fire gutted a tank car factory in Pulogadung Industrial area, Cakung, East Jakarta, Monday (3/20), at around 10.40 AM. It was allegedly triggered by a spark from the chimney.

It occurred when the factory activities belong to PT Pamindo Tiga was operating. Suddenly the workers were surprised by thick smoke accompanied by the flames from the chimney. Those panicked and tried to put out the flames, yet they failed.

Gatot Sulaiman, Section Head of Operation for East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept. disclosed, based on witness' information, the incident is seen from the chimney. The flames then spread to a painting oven room and then burned a room in the size of 10x10 square meter.

"We send 11 fire trucks and managed to control the flames within 45 minutes," he told.

As for the information, the loss is reaching Rp 250 million.
