Rumah Panggung will Be Socialized in Seribu Islands

It needs socialization and education to the public to find the solution

Seribu Islands Regent, Budi Utomo revealed the concept of rumah panggung (wooden-stilt house) should be reapplied in Panggang Island, North Seribu Islands. It is purposed to reduce densely populated areas.

"It needs socialization and education to the public to find the solution," he expressed, Tuesday (3/21).

In the meantime, Seribu Islands Public Housing and Settlement Sub-dept. Head, Romel Pasaribu disclosed socialization will be held in Panggang Island, Tidung Island and Kelapa Island related to growth of densely populated areas in such islands.

"The concept is to reduce densely populated areas and support tourism sector," he closed.
