People Demanding Continuation of SWRO in Panggang Island

Citizens living in Panggang Island, North Seribu Islands are requesting the related unit to continue the unfinished project, Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (SWRO).

They (citizens) have difficulties to get clean water. To get it, they had to go to Karya Island. That's why they want the SWRO project to be continued

"They (citizens) have difficulties to get clean water. To get it, they had to go to Karya Island. That's why they want the SWRO project to be continued," said Yulihardi, Head of Panggang Island, Thursday (3/16).

Kelapa Island Residents Requesting SWRO

Responding on this matter, Aditya Putra, Section Head of Raw and Clean Water for Jakarta Water Resources Dept. said has filed auction for new SWRO that is able to accommodate water in large quantities for one urban village.

"We'll build a SWRO with a capacity of 700 per cubic per day. Every people are only able to take 60 liters of water per day according to the rules," he finished.
