Asian Games Venues Construction will Be Complete On Time

Jakarta Provincial Government is optimistic the development of venues and infrastructures to support 2018 Asian Games will be complete on time.

"All stages are still on schedule," said Sumarsono, Jakarta Acting Governor after he held a follow-up meeting for preparing 2018 Asian Games along with Vice President, Jusuf Kalla, Saturday (3/25).

Draft Committee For 2018 Asian Games Revised

Sumarsono assessed, especially for equestrian venue in Pulomas, it is targeted will be completed in the upcoming November. While the bike race velodrome venue in Rawamangun is targeted will be completed in June 2018.

"The equestrian project has touched 30 percent and velodrome has touched 45 percent," he explained.

To support transportation infrastructures, LRT that takes 6 kilometers length from Kelaga Gading-Rawamangun is targeted will be done in August 2018. Its project has reached 7.5 percent.

"The important is foundation part has almost done without problem. Even, in June 2018, LRT will already be finished," he told.

At the same time, Vice President, Jusuf Kalla disclosed the most important thing is readiness of infrastructures. Such venues will be a long-term investment, but not just for Asian Games.

"The good implementation must have maximal achievement. All components must be coordinated well," he stated.
