Next Year, Kelapa Gading Reservoir Constructed

We have asked Water Resources Dept. to execute the project

Jakarta Provincial Government is going to construct a reservoir and a pump house in Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta next year.

City Secretary, Saefullah disclosed the construction is purposed to overcome floods during rainy season.

"We have asked Water Resources Dept. to execute the project," he stated, at City Hall, Monday (3/27).

According to him, the reservoir will be made on the north of Artha Gading. Considering the land near the shopping center is intended for reservoir zone.

"Ideally Kelapa Gading must have one reservoir. On north of Artha Gading, the land is already available," he expressed.

As the initial stage, he instructs Water Resources Dept. to carry out dredging this year thus sheet pile could be installed next year.

"If the land is deep, just clean and then installed by a pump. Thus, next year, the reservoir can already be made," he finished.
