Council Wants Archival Raperda Could Generate Many Benefits

Jakarta Draft Regulation Formation Board (Bapemperda) wants if archival Raperda (draft regulation) is established to be regional regulation, it could bring many benefits.

If this raperda is established as perda (regional regulation), it must be useful

Thus Bapempenda and Jakarta Archive and Library Dept. (Dispusip) held a discussion meeting about all articles in Archival Raperda on Wednesday (4/5).

Meeting that was led by City Council Legislation Body (Balegda) Member, Bastari Barus, has a purpose to correct several articles which considered still have shortcomings.

"If this raperda is established as perda (regional regulation), it must be useful," he said, Wednesday (4/5).

He expressed there are several matters in this raperda (draft regulation) that must be verified for its completion by executives and legislative. Those problems are about qualified human resources availability, archives submission deadline to Jakarta Dispusip, and there is no obligation of the regional administration to submit important document to be archived.

Besides, this meeting also discussed about archive age limitation that can be submitted to Jakarta Dispusip. In this raperda, archive that can be submitted must be above 10 years.

"We also highlighted the matter about regional administration which is no needs to submit important document to be archived in Jakarta Dispusip," he closed.
