Operational Vehicles Under Environment Dept. Pass Emission Test

Jakarta Environment Dept. revealed all official vehicles and employee vehicles must pass the emission test. By so, the emission towards all vehicles should fit the threshold.

This is to reduce air pollution. We hope all regional working units (SKPD) also do the same thing

According to Isnawa Adji, Head of Jakarta Environment Dept., the test has been held twice. First test was held for 352 dump trucks at Bantang Gebang Landfill on March 15, 2017.

200 Vehicles Under Environment Dept. Undergo Emission Test

"93.5 percent of them pass the test. And the rest are sent to the vehicle brand-holder sole agents (ATPM) for reparation," he expressed, Monday (4/10).

He explains the ATPM will conduct a regular maintenance towards such trucks. And the second test, about 64 out of 219 official vehicles and employee's private vehicles are failed on the test.

"Those failed vehicles have been repaired. While for private vehicle that is not in accordance with the threshold cannot park on the dept. office area," he asserted.

He added the dept. itself has 1,200 dump trucks and 100 operational vehicles. Gradually, those will undergo the emission test.

"This is to reduce air pollution. We hope all regional working units (SKPD) also do the same thing," he closed.
