Seribu Islands Administration Regency urges all apparatuses in Seribu Islands to tightly supervise the submarine cable.

We want all elements to do supervision, starting from urban village, sub-district and sub-dept.

It is following findings of illegal backfill burying submarine cable on Panggang Island some time ago.

Seribu Islands Vice Regent, Ismer Harahap said his party would issue a circular letter related to supervision of submarine cable.

"We want all elements to do supervision, starting from urban village, sub-district and sub-dept.," he expressed, Tuesday (4/11). 

He explains, until now, illegal backfill unloading is still ongoing.

"Industry and Energy Sub-dept. must detect the cable to be unloaded and then installed with a warning sign," he closed.
