Kota Tua Revitalization is Asked to Be More Comprehensive

City Council Commission B Chairman, Tubagus Arief asked, revitalization in Kota Tua area, Taman Sari, West Jakarta to be done comprehensively and not only focusing on the building.

"Park, river, even street vendor areas need to be concerned," he said on Monday (4/17).

According to him, revitalization can be accelerated with collaboration between City Provincial Government and State Enterprise (BUMN). Because, most of the assets in Kota Tua owned by BUMN.

"Through this collaboration, it is not impossible to finish revitalization in 2017," he added.

He continued that he hoped PT. Transjakarta from transportation aspect, can provide facilities for travelers who want to visit another tourism destination around Kota Tua.

"Travelers who want to visit Bahari Museum and Fish Market need transportation facilities," he explained.

Meanwhile, Kota Tua Working Unit Head, Norviadi Husodo said, Kota Tua revitalization includes Besar River, sidewalks, and roads arrangement, and also provides land for street vendors (PKL)s and integrated parking space.

"PKL arrangement and integrated parking space are targeted to be finished in 2 months from now. Besar River arrangement still on progress, while the new bridge has been made," he closed.
