Kota Tua Area Crowded by Visitors

Nyepi Holiday which falls on Tuesday (3/28), is used by citizens of Jakarta and its surrounding areas to visit tourist spots in City. One tourist spot which crowded by visitors is Kota Tua, Taman Sari, West Jakarta.

The food is also typical. Thus can enjoy Jakarta's atmosphere of the past in here

Eventhough the weather is quite hot, but it didn't lessen the numbers of visitor visiting that historical area.

Endang Sarini (35), one of the visitors who came with her family admitted to choose Kota Tua as their vacation spot because impressed by European-typical buildings and its atmosphere of the past.

"The food is also typical. Thus can enjoy Jakarta's atmosphere of the past in here," she said when interviewed in Kota Tua, Tuesday (3/28).

Meanwhile, Kota Tua Area Management Unit (UPK) Head, Novriadi S. Husodo said even though today several museums in Kota Tua are closed because of national holiday, but it did not lessen the number of visitors. Museums which closed are Jakarta Historical Museum, Wayang and Arts Museum, and Ceramics Museum.

He added that visitors enjoyed the atmosphere in Kota Tua with bicycle, take photos, and gathered with their own family members.

"Up till now, there are 300 visitors in Kota Tua area. It is predicted until evening could reach into 500 visitors," he closed.
