Ship berth deepening in east side of Pramuka and Sebira Island is started to be conducted by Seribu Islands Transportation Sub-dept. using heavy equipment owned by Jakarta Water Resources Dept.

Berth deepening in these two locations, for each, we targeting will be done in one month

Seribu Islands Transportation Sub-dept. Head, Robert Edward said, ship berth deepening in both islands is done by two units of excavator since Monday (4/17).

"Berth deepening in these two locations, for each, we targeting will be done in one month," he said, Tuesday (4/18).

He explained, in Pramuka Islands, ship berth will be deepened and widened from 14 meters to 35 meters. While, Sebira Island, ship berth deepening will be done between three to four meters.

"Berth deepening is done thus its capacity can accommodate more fishermen b oats," he closed.
