Djarot Wants to Add More Green Open Spaces

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat wants Green Open Spaces (RTH) to be added more.

We will urge to add more RTH because it has obvious benefits

From data in 2016, it is noted that wide of RTH in Jakarta just only 9.98 percent. Ideally, it must reach 30 percent from total areas.

"We already asked for vacant land data which could be bought for RTH. Because the recent numbers are still minimal," he said, Monday (4/24).

He explained that RTH is very useful to overcome air pollution and could be utilized as water absorption area. Moreover, it could become a place to socialize which similar as Children-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA). 

"RTH will be prioritized in flood-prone areas and dense population areas. We will urge to add more RTH because it has obvious benefits," he expressed.

He also asked citizens who want to sell their land to immediately proposed it City Government.

"If it is legally owned, surely we will buy it," he closed.
