91Companies Sponsored PRJ Monas

To enliven Jakarta 487 Anniversary; the city will hold Jakarta Fair in National Monument (Monas) park, Central Jakarta, June 10 – 15, 2014. The visitors are granted to be free of charges and the funding is not using city budget whereas using sponsors.

With the existence of PRJ, it could educate undisciplined sellers to make them discipline. This event is aimed to guide and educate them.

Head of City Energy and Industrial, M Haris Pindratno, said that his party does not spend any fund for PRJ Monas implementation. All the funding is covered by 91 private companies. “All come from sponsorship funding, we did not prepare budget,” said Pindratno at City Hall, Monday (6/9).

The sponsors are divided into two, namely the small sponsor from 80 private companies and big sponsors from 11 companies. They provide 2,780 free booth for small and medium enterprises (UKM) in six regions including Seribu Islands.

Monas jakarta Fair is Free of Charge

The merchants who can get free booth should be selected in advance. Even the street vendors (PKL) at Monas also get rations to sell in PRJ Monas. It is aimed to provide education for the cadgers.

“With the existence of PRJ, it could educate undisciplined sellers to make them discipline. This event is aimed to guide and educate them. The cadgers in IRTI should be at their place during the event,” he said.

At least there are more than 80 events showed to enliven this first PRJ event in Monas. This event not only accentuates fanfare, but also shows art and culture. “Special for Thursday and Friday, there will be wayang orang. In every day, we will have Betawi cultural art performance,” he added.

The event will be open directly by Acting Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, on June 10 at 4 PM. Every day, PRJ Monas will be opened at 2 PM until 11 PM. Meanwhile on Saturday and Monday the event opens earlier at 9 AM until 11 PM.
