136 Fire Victims in Klender Remain in Shelter

136 fire victims on Jl. Bulak Timur 1, RT 01/16, Klender Urban Village, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta remain in shelter. Food needs and toiletries have been prepared by East Jakarta Social Sub-dept.

Duren Sawit Sub-district Head, Abu Bakar said, shelter is located in Klender Urban Village Office. From total 200 fire victims whose house burnt, only 136 people were recorded remain in shelter.

"Not all of the victims in shelter. Some of them stay in their sibling or neighbor's house," he informed, Friday (5/5).

According to him, all needs have been prepared by East Jakarta Social Sub-dept's Tagana. East Jakarta PMI (Indonesian Red Cross) also helps preparing medicine and foods.

"In accordance to the procedure of emergency response, this shelter tent will be set up for three days ahead. But if still needed, we can extend the time," he closed.

For information, fire accident happened on Thursday (5/4) night and burned 50 rented houses on the location. The fire accident suspected to be caused by electrical short circuit from one of the resident's houses.
