Two Play Groups Banned to Open Class

Towards the end of 2013-2014 school year, two play group (KB) in North Jakarta, known for not having principal permit, have not finished their permit yet.

If they still want to open their school, we will give written warning, after getting warned they are still stubborn, we will coordinate with the related department about the closing possibility in force

Therefore, for the next school year, KB Saint Monica and KB Raffles International Christian School will not be allowed to open their class before the permit is over.

KB Saint Monica on Jalan Sunter Boulevard, Sunter Agung, Tanjung Priok, is closed due to not having permit since the last mid-May. Meanwhile the KB Raffles International Christian School on Jalan Gading Pelangi, Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village, Kelapa Gading was known for not having permit after sudden inspection in the end of May.

Illegal Playgroups In North Jakarta to Be Dismissed

Head of North Jakarta Secondary Education Mustafa Kemal said so. For that, in the new school year, his party will not let the school to open their class.

“The Rafles has not come at all to register, and we are discussing about the punishment. Meanwhile the Saint Monica has come and asked about the permit, but until now they have not applied,” said Kemal, Monday (6/9).

To register the permit, the data should cover the number of foreign and Indonesian teachers, the infrastructure and facilities, teacher certificates’ files, the income of teachers’ files, as well as the admission fees. As long as the permit has not been completed, both KBs must not be opened.

“If they still want to open their school, we will give written warning, after getting warned they are still stubborn, we will coordinate with the related department about the closing possibility in force,” Kemal completed.
