Revitalization of Muara Angke Pier Asked to Be Realized Soon

City Council Commission B asked Jakarta Provincial Government to focus on realizing Muara Angke Pier revitalization program, Penjaringan, North Jakarta.

Later on, we want a settlement for fishermen, fish processing place, and float restaurant, all in the area

City Council Commission B Member, Prabowo Soenirman said, Muara Angke Pier has a lot of tourism potentials that can be developed to add Local Revenue (PAD).

"Currently, the condition is still a mess because it still merge with fishermen settlement," he said in DPRD Building, Monday (5/8).

Muara Angke Pier Area will Be Arranged in 2018

He wants Muara Angke to be an integrated pier later and can be utilized by many people, both citizens, government, and tourists.

"Later on, we want a settlement for fishermen, fish processing place, and float restaurant, all in the area," he hoped.

Meanwhile, another member of City Council's Commission B, Sereida Tambunan explained, currently her side keeps urging Muara Angke revitalization to be realized soon by Jakarta Provincial Government.

"Recently we have Marina Ancol Pier but it is owned by private. Thus we must have a good pier as our owned," she expressed.

Related to that, she asked related Regional Working Unit (SKPD) to synergy each other to realize this program. The mentioned SKPDs are including Jakarta's Transportation Dept.(Dishub), Public Housing and Residential Area Dept. (DPRKP), Agriculture Maritime and Food Tenacity Dept. (DKPKP), and Small Medium Enterprise Cooperation and Trade Dept. (KUKMP).
