SKPD and BUMD Must Synergize to Boost Jakarta's Tourism

City Council Commission B asked regional working unit (SKPD) and regional owned enterprises (BUMD) to be more synergize each other to boost Jakarta tourism sector through revitalizing numbers of tourism objects, such as Kota Tua, Muara Angke Pier, and Seribu Islands.

So this revitalization is run not just to prepare large number. But, this is done to prepare the synergy work between SKPD and BUMD

"So this revitalization is run not just to prepare large number. But, this is done to prepare the synergy work between SKPD and BUMD," said Syarifuddin, Member of City Council's Commission B when contacted by beritajakarta, Wednesday (5/10).

Besides synergizing, he continued, SKPD and BUMD are asked to focus on preparation of budget allocation to revitalize those tourism objects. Thus, in the future, Jakarta is not just a transit place for foreign tourists.

"So, after landing in Cengkareng, we pick them up, and take them to Kota Tua, Museum, then Onrust Island and other tourism objects," he explained.

Another member of Commission B, Prabowo Soenirman have an opinion that revitalization should be done in order to have qualified tourism. One of the way is to arrange Muara Angke Pier.

"We want Muara Angke in the future to be public pier completed with facilities to welcome tourists," he closed.
