Burnt Shophouse on Jl. Wijaya II Allegedly Caused by Short Circuit

The burnt four-floor shop house on Jl. Wijaya II, RT 06/01, Pulo Urban Village, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta has been successfully extinguished. Allegedly, fire was caused by short circuit.

Temporary allegation is caused by short circuit of the cash register machine on the first floor

South Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept. Head, Irwan said, his side deployed 6 fire trucks and 11 water pumps.

"The smoke is thick enough to disturb out team's eyesight, but it already handled by using blower. Luckily, fire didn't spread to building next to it," he said, Friday (5/12).

Fire Razes Semi-Permanent House in Penggilingan

According to him, fire was allegedly caused by short circuit of cashier machine on the first floor. Shop house was closed and no one inside. Fire was extinguished around 04.50 A.M.

"Temporary allegation is caused by short circuit of the cashier machine on the first floor. Total lost is estimated around hundreds of million," he closed.
