"We support effort to maintain food price stability. Even, if found any mafia of food, groceries, and meat ahead of Ramadan, we want them to be eradicated," said Syarifuddin, Member of City Council's Commission B, Saturday (5/13).

City is Asked to Control Food Price Ahead of Ramadan

He added that in accordance with Commission B observation in PT. Food Station Tjipinang Jaya a few days ago, food commodities to be prepared for Ramadan are already stocked and ready to be distributed. 

"They have stock until three months ahead. In other words, the stock is safe," he stated.

Meanwhile, another Commission B member, Prabowo Soenirman said, it needs a special handling to maintain the stock thus citizen can get affordable prize.

"If we already set the meat price at Rp 70 thousand, then it will be cost Rp 70 thousand also in citizen's hand. Courage is needed to cut the distribution channel," he closed.
