Floating Restaurant Project Targeted to Take 1.5 Years

Construction of a 6,000-square-meter floating restaurant in Muara Angke, Penjaringan, North Jakarta is targeted to be finished within 1.5 years.

City Secretary, Saefullah disclosed the existing grilled fish sellers would be relocated to the restaurant. As for the previous location will be transformed into a parking area and a park.

"Floating restaurant project has entered auction stage," he expressed, Monday (5/15).

According to him, it would be able to fix the aesthetics and to attract many visitors.

"It's to create beautiful impression and no longer cover the sea. The location can be tour destination and produce incoming tax to us," he stated.

While, Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Dept. Head, Darjamuni added restaurant carries a modern concept with a two-story main building, equipped with a meeting room and a capacity of 600 seats.

"There are nine gazebo. Each of them can accommodate 18-20 people," he expressed.

He added, its construction is just awaiting the issuance of building permit (IMB).

"After Eid ul-Fitr, we slate to execute it," he closed.
