Vehicle Emission Test in Tugu Proklamasi Enthused by Drivers

Free vehicle emission test is held at Tugu Proklamasi area, Menteng Sub-district, Central Jakarta. Cars and official vehicles owners already line up in the location.

Based on beritajakarta observation, emission test which held from 8 A.M. this morning is enthused by the road users. Evidently, after one hour being opened, 150 vehicles were already listed.

Central Jakarta Vice Mayor, Bayu Meghantara said, recently almost 70 percent of polluters in Jakarta come from vehicle fumes. Through this activity, people could know the quality of their vehicle fumes.

"This also included in Adipura indicator to know Central Jakarta's air quality. After being checked, vehicle owners could know the condition of their vehicle fumes," he said, Tuesday (5/16).

Central Jakarta Environment Sub-dept. Head, Marsigit added, for vehicle failed the emission test is recommended to repair it as soon as possible.

"Maybe the oil filter is dirty. This is good to check," he expressed.

Zakaria (41), one of the vehicle owners, welcoming well this activity. Besides it is free, he could know his cars condition.
