City will Expand Food Price Information

Jakarta Provincial Government plans to expand food price information ahead of Ramadan and Eid. One of the plan is through information media in markets, bus stop, and Transjakarta bus.

I asked to install information media in central market and Transjakarta bus, just like in gas station

Acting Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat said, usually staple food price is increasing towards Ramadan and people rarely know the information. Thus, food price information media must be expanded in order to avoid public unrest.

"I asked to install information media in central market and Transjakarta bus, just like in gas station. The point is, that price information must be delivered to citizen thus the price won't be playable," he said when attended in media gathering with BUMD in PT. Food Station Tjipinang Jaya, East Jakarta, Wednesday (5/17).

City Intensifying Food Taskforce Performance Towards Ramadan

According to him, to make this plan realized, it is needed a good cooperation between SKPD and BUMD which related in food field. 

"The price can change continuously. SKPD and BUMD must be collaborated thus update information could be delivered to citizen immediately from information media," he closed.
