Food Products in Five Traditional Markets in E. Jakarta Examined

Food tenacity networking team examined food products in five traditional markets in East Jakarta, Wednesday (5/17).

Its purpose is to give security and comfort for consumer. Moreover, it also prevents dangerous substances distribution

This activity is run in order to prevent distribution of food product which contains of dangerous substances.

East Jakarta Administration's Economic Section Head, Yeni Asnita said, food product examination was conducted by food networking team. The targeted five markets are Jatinegara Market, Pal Mariam Market, Rawa Mangun Market, Pramuka Market, and Ampera Market.

Sudden Inspection, No Dangerous Substances Found

"Its purpose is to give security and comfort for consumer. Moreover, it also prevents dangerous substances distribution," she said.

According to her, food sample examination is centered in Jatinegara Market. There are four laboratories  prepared to examine all sample products. There are laboratory from Kesmavet, Laboratory of Agriculture, Laboratory of Fisheries, and BPOM Laboratory.

"We take 309 food samples in total. 66 samples are from livestock products, 121 samples are fisheries product, and 122 samples are agriculture product," she closed.
