Sudden Inspection, No Dangerous Substances Found

Central Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Tenacity (KPKP) Sub-dept. monitoring food commodities in four traditional markets and one supermarket in the area. There are 352 agricultural products, fisheries, and livestock were examined and all of it are stated free of dangerous substances.

During yesterday's sudden inspection, personnel visited four traditional markets in different areas and one supermarket in Menteng.

"We held a quick sudden inspection (sidak) and food samples were conducted laboratory test directly on the location," said Bayu Sari Hastuti, Head of Maritime Agriculture and Food Tenacity (KPKP) Sub-dept., Thursday (5/11).

She mentioned, in 352 food samples which examined, there are 125 samples from agricultural products, 180 fishery products, and 67 livestock products.

"This monitoring is held continuously and targeting different market. Merchants who caught selling dangerous food will be given BAP directly to trace the origin of their food commodities," she closed.
