This year we will focus on 3 locations for normalization program

Normalization work itself will be done by central government through Ciliwung-Cisadane Flood Control Office (BBWSCC).

Jakarta Water Resources Dept. Head, Teguh Hendarwan mentioned, three rivers that will be focused on normalization this year are Pesanggrahan River, Ciliwung River, and Sunter River.

Sunter River Normalization Reaches 47 Percent

"This year we will focus on 3 locations for normalization program," he said, Thursday (5/18).

He explained, the allocated budget for land acquisition in river normalization program this year reached Rp 200 billion. As plan, that budget will be submitted for addition in City Budget Revision (APBD-P) 2017 later.

"Our duty is to release the land. While the construction will be done by BBWSCC. The budget is Rp 200 billion," he said.

He added, in that land acquisition, compensation is only given to residents who have the real certificate of land ownership and land certificate. Currently, budget for freeing the land is about Rp 100 billion.

"This price is referring to appraisal price, between market prices and NJOP. That will be more beneficial for residents," he closed.
