Two CAS Machines Operated in Early June

PD. Pasar Jaya will accelerate Controlled Atmosphere Storage (CAS) machine procurement. These machine will be used to store food commodity such as chili and onion which targeted to be done in early June and can be operated immediately.

We are processing two units first. We will accelerate the auction. No later than the first week of Ramadan, it will be finished

PD. Pasar Jaya President Director, Arief Nasrudin said, recently the procurement has already entered auction process. As planned before, this BUMD bought three CAS machines with budget around Rp 4 billion.

"We are processing two units first. We will accelerate the auction. No later than the first week of Ramadan, it will be finished," he affirmed, Friday (5/19).

CAS Machine Can Accommodate 20 Tons of Chilli and Onion

He explained, this machine which has capacity of 28 tons each is procured in order to maintain food availability. Thus when we have slightly supply, stock still can be distributed to the markets.

"In central market, needs of onion and chili per day is about 120 tons. When stock in market is less than 20 percent, we will distribute it," he closed.
